Local governments in the U.S. are using stimulus dollars to showcase renewable energy systems. Many are installing Windspire wind turbines to share the power of wind with their constituents. The innovative design and silent operation of the Windspires allow towns and cities to install them in the heart of urban and suburban areas exposing the general population to the latest in wind power technology. The City of Reno, Nevada is putting a Windspire on display in the heart of the biggest little city in the world. The Missouri Department of Transportation installed Windspires at redesigned welcome centers on Interstate 44.
